Would you trust your sales of high value items to someone who wasn't an ethical, highly trained, sales professional?

My question is, "Did the above introduction, generated on chatGPT, in about 15 seconds, resonate with you?" Did it give you a feeling of warmth, and satisfaction with its apparent honesty? If you reply "Yes", then I'm afraid that I can't help you, even though it tells me that you really do need it.

For a change, let's try some reality. My name really is Bruce K. McAlister and, if you've had a parent that saddled you with a seriously embarrassing middle name, you'll understand why it will always remain just K.

I am a sales and management professional, with more than 50 years of experience in tourism, motor vehicles, real estate, engineering, heavy machinery, rural products and more. During my first decade as a salesman (sorry, I'm neither Woke nor PC), I was fortunate to be trained in ethical, professional sales techniques. Those two words, ethical and professional, are the heart of my services.

I sincerely believe that a shonky, unethical approach to sales and management may work in the short term and provide a quick burst of income, but will not build a healthy, long term income, nor will it help any business retain professional staff in sales or management, who are the major keys to your success.

As someone who has been extremely successful in personal sales, sales management, sales training (including writing product specific, sales training manuals) and general management, I believe that I have something to offer any business, large or small, ethical and professional ways to improve the efficiency of its sales team and middle management. I also have an MBA (Marketing) but, as it was awarded 40+ years ago, it is probably irrelevant, apart from me not having to use spellcheck in tomes, such as this.

I imagine, having read thus far, you're asking yourself. "How can this man help me?" Off the top of my head, I don't know. I need you to think carefully about your business and in what areas it could improve. Then contact me , outline your problem and I will get back to you and let you know if I think I can genuinely help you.

I haven't posted a list of fees, on this website, simply because every business is different and the type of help and the time it would take would differ in every case. As you can appreciate, it would take much longer to write a sales training manual than it would to quickly identify a procedural problem. It would also require a considerably larger investment, should you require me to carry out an in-house training seminar in your premises.

Here are just a few of the more common problems that I have often come across, over the years, that are sometimes difficult for management to recognise or solve and that would adversely affect your bottom line.

  • Bullying, harassment and discrimination
  • Sinecures
  • And, of course any, some, or all of the elements of marketing (product, packaging, pricing, promotion and distribution).

Your sales staff will be much more effective, if they understand the difference between open and closed questions, the effectiveness of tag questions, the difference between features and benefits etc. These are just a few, easily learned, ethical sales techniques.

This is an important consideration.

When implementing any of my paid advice, plans or training, keep to what you have paid for. There ia a high chance that any deviation will not work or even have a negative effect on your sales. If you are considering changes, and there is a high possibility that a sales manager or middle manager will have his/her nose out of joint, due to you bringing in an outsider, and try to make changes for any number of reasons. If this occurs, please phone me and we can discuss whether those planned changes will have an adverse effect on your sales. There is no charge for that phone call.
